I have been using this company for the care of two salt water fish tanks in our home for at least 2 years now. I highly recommend them for the care of your fish tanks. You could not find a more reliable, honest company to perform the job and their work is impeccable! Alfonso and Francisco are just the best ever! They are an A+, 5 Star company. OC Reef Care has maintained our two saltwater tanks for the past five years, and has done a tremendous job for us. We have had the tanks for fifteen years, and have never before been so pleased with the quality care and maintenance of the tanks and fish. Both of our tanks are odd sized and difficult to maintain; but OC Reef Care has kept them immaculate and our fish healthy. In the inevitable case where we lost a fish or two, they were prompt to find out why and replace them. The smaller tank is a reef tank, with a lot of live coral, urchins, etc., and draws comments and compliments from everyone who passes. I am a scuba diver, but am in no way a fish expert. I just love them; and Alfonso and his team understand that. I am confident they have had a chuckle or two over the freaked out executive who thought her fish might be sick or suffering or who won’t feed them anything live, and who SO does not understand the whole circle of life thing. But they have been kind, considerate and very responsive whenever there have been issues. Quite honestly, we have had dealings at some level with nearly every aquarium specialist in the area; and none of them can compare with Alfonso and OC Reef Care. I highly recommend them for any and all of your aquarium needs.

Hired them initially to set up a basic saltwater setup, and was so impressed by the quality and experience of the staff that I decided to upgrade to a full reef setup which has been an amazing addition to our home and our quality of life they have continued to provide periodic maintenance and the service has always been personal and professional !!!

Hired them to move a tank. was very nervous about the move. turned out the people who installed the tank previously did a piss poor job. after all livestock was taken out and water drained, found that the tank couldn't be removed from the stand. i'd expect most movers to walk away at this point, but they stuck it out and eventually found a way to move everything. took 6 hours, but they stuck it out. not only did they finish the move, they fixed the problem and my tank actually is healthier now than it was before. not a single livestock loss (even notoriously poor transporters like my shrimp and wrasses). highly recommended.

I was referred to Alfonso by a local fish store. Even though I have had fresh water aquariums since a little kid I was new to salt water. I tried to set my tank up before talking with Alfonso and all I can say was it wasn't working. I called Alfonso and he came out and spent more than a few hours fixing all the little problems I had with the tank. After that he taught me the right way to cycle the tank and get it ready for fish. After the first two months he talked me into making my fish only tank into a reef/fish tank, and I have to say that was probably the best idea. I have the tank in my office and it looks awesome! I have people comment about it dally, and Alfonso is always around to take care of the little things that always seem to happen when you have a reef tank. I've been working with him for over a year, and I can't recommend him more to anyone that is looking to get someone to take care of their aquariums.

I was packing and getting ready to leave for the Thanksgiving holiday and realized there was something seriously wrong with my filter system. I found OcReefCare online and saw that it said 24 hour emergency service. It was 10pm. He came over immediately and thoroughly checked everything in my tank, including the PH. He asked me questions and gave me an evaluation of my tank. He helped me eliminate a bad filter system that had a leak possibility. I live on the 3rd floor in an apartment and he saved me from a liability that had already been leaking. In addition, he spent time giving me an education on the tank environment and care advice. He even helped me figure out how the local fish shops have been making money off my ignorance by selling me things that I didn't need and even polluted my tank environment. Alfonso, the owner, even called to follow up a week later in which I have hired him to service my tank monthly. I met his service staff and they got the job done. My tank looks like it did when I first set it up and Alfonso is going to help me choose combinations of fish that will get along, as well as coral. The communication is wonderful and I highly recommend his services to anyone.

There is no where else to find any other person as Alfonso . He is the best and the most knowledgeable for my tank. He has been around fish and seawater his whole life. I'm glad to know this person.

Alfonso did a great job on setting up my new 92 gallon reef tank. He has been very knowledgeable and patient during the set up. I have never owned such a beautiful tank. I would recommend Alfonso's service to anyone in need of dependable reef tank set up's or servicing.

Like it never really happened..I have or should I say had a 200 gal reef tank that the glass came apart one night. I called Alfonso and he came over right away took the coral to his shop so they wouldn't die and came back the following morning with 2 addtionals guys and completely dismanteled everything. He and his team were a lifesavor!! I would highly recommend OC REEF CARE for not only my maintaince but all needed fish tank care including emergancys

OC Reef Care saved my turtles life! I found this awesome company when my old service wouldnt help me free my trapped turtle from a drain until the morning. I called at 9:00pm and Alfonso got out of bed to drive 45 minutes to my house & he saved my turtle from drowning. I was so grateful & he refused to charge me for the house call. Came home for the weekend to discover the worst thing, a leaking 65 gallon reef all over our nice wood floors. Tried to fix the problem myself but with limited time and in a state of panic (gallons of water going everywhere) I called Alfonso. He arrived in less than 40 minutes, which was quick considering he was at least a 30 minute drive from me. He came by and brought some of his own parts from his own tanks to repair the issue, parts that i could not have acquired late notice on a Sunday. Alfonso fixed the problem and stuck around to make absolutely sure that there was no more leaking. In short, Alfonso was great. And a lifesaver. I trusted the guy and he was very helpful. To boot, he was pretty dang funny too. Thanks Alfonso and OC reef care, you rock!
